Autonomous Solutions Inc builds autonomous systems for fleets operating in demanding, high-risk, and repetitive environments. Founded in 2000, we've grown into one of the largest privately held robotics companies in the world, with deployments across heavy construction, agriculture, logistics, and landscaping. Our work is guided by seven core values: Simplicity, Safety, Transparency, Humility, Attention to Detail, Autonomy, and Growth. Being privately held means good ideas move quickly, ownership is real, and the work you do here shows up in the world.

As an AI Engineer IV (Simulation), you will build the systems that close the loop between real-world autonomous operations and simulation. You will develop AI-driven training workflows, automated validation pipelines, and scenario generation tools that accelerate safe autonomous deployment. Your work directly shapes how the autonomy stack performs in the field by keeping simulation grounded in real-world data, edge cases, and operational constraints.

Responsibilities

  • Build closed-loop systems connecting field data to simulation and back to real-world performance.

  • Develop simulation-driven workflows that generate diverse scenarios, edge cases, and long-tail events.

  • Integrate perception, planning, control, and vehicle dynamics models into simulation environments.

  • Create automated validation pipelines that stress-test autonomy across environments, terrain, and failure modes.

  • Enhance simulation fidelity using real-world telemetry, sensor data, and environmental conditions.

  • Use generative models or data augmentation to expand scenario coverage and reduce field testing costs.

  • Develop tools that measure model performance, regression trends, and safety margins in simulation.

  • Optimize simulation infrastructure for speed and scalability across local, cloud, and distributed compute.

Qualifications

  • Experience in AI, robotics, simulation engineering, or ML model development.

  • Strong understanding of simulation environments, synthetic data workflows, or scenario generation.

  • Experience integrating AI models into simulation frameworks for training or validation.

  • Proficiency in Python, C++, or similar languages for simulation and AI development.

  • Experience with robotics concepts such as perception, planning, control, or vehicle dynamics.

  • Ability to convert real-world data into simulated scenarios that expose edge cases and system weaknesses.

  • Experience with cloud simulation infrastructure, distributed compute, or GPU-accelerated workloads.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to remain in a stationary position at a computer workstation for extended periods.

  • Ability to operate a computer and other office productivity equipment continuously.

  • Ability to communicate and exchange information in person, via phone, and through electronic means.

  • Ability to traverse office, lab, data center, and field environments as required.
