This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for an AI Engineer in the United States.

In this role, you will be part of a team driving innovation in educational technology through the integration of advanced AI solutions. You will design, develop, and deploy machine learning and generative AI models that enhance learning products and internal processes. Collaborating closely with researchers, product managers, engineers, and content experts, you will help translate complex AI concepts into actionable, practical applications. The role provides opportunities to experiment with cutting-edge AI techniques, influence product strategy, and contribute to solutions that impact millions of students. This position encourages creativity, cross-functional collaboration, and staying ahead of AI advancements while maintaining a focus on ethical, responsible AI use in educational contexts.

Accountabilities:

  • Develop and implement AI and machine learning solutions to improve educational products and internal processes.
  • Design, train, and deploy complex models, ensuring performance, scalability, and accuracy.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with data scientists, engineers, product managers, learning scientists, and content experts to integrate AI effectively.
  • Communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders; produce thorough documentation.
  • Stay current with AI advancements and integrate new methods into products and workflows.
  • Share knowledge across teams to support understanding of generative AI applications and limitations.



Requirements
  • MS degree in Computer Science, AI, Machine Learning, or related field with strong programming skills.
  • 3+ years of experience in AI development and software engineering in a commercial environment.
  • Experience in ethical AI design, including fairness, accountability, and data privacy considerations, especially in education.
  • Proficiency in Python, Java, R, or similar programming languages.
  • Strong experience with PyTorch, TensorFlow, or other ML frameworks.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, etc.) for AI deployment and related DevOps tooling.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain complex AI concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Proven ability to work independently, creatively, and collaboratively in small teams.
  • Passion for advancing educational technology and contributing to student learning outcomes.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • PhD in AI, Machine Learning, or a relevant field.
  • Advanced knowledge of deep learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras).
  • Experience with natural language processing and related AI fields.
  • Familiarity with the education sector or EdTech industry.
