Who We Are

Gr0 is a Los Angeles-based full-service digital marketing agency built on a single premise: performance is the only metric that matters. Since our founding in 2020, we have grown into one of the most decorated and results-driven agencies in the country, offering the complete stack — GEO, SEO, paid search, paid social, link building, content, email, and creative — under one roof, tailored to brands at every stage.

GR0 By the Numbers

$1B+ generated for direct-to-consumer brands
$500M+ in digital advertising managed
1,200+ clients served since 2020
95% average YoY growth for startup and small business clients
70%+ of new clients come from existing client referrals — because the work speaks

About the Role

GR0 is hiring an Applied AI Engineering Intern to create disruptive new approaches to marketing across GEO, SEO, paid media, link building, and creative. This is not a pre-scoped internship — there is no "starter project" and no meetings to recap or spreadsheets to update. We are hiring someone who is obsessed with how AI is changing every facet of business, thrives on autonomy, and can walk in on day one, identify the highest-leverage bottleneck in modern marketing, and ship an AI-native system that changes how the work gets done. Someone to join our push to transform marketing forever.

Program Details

Duration: June 1, 2026 through July 31, 2026
Schedule: Monday – Thursday, 8 hours/day
Compensation: $45/hour

What You'll Do:

  • Identify and attack the highest-leverage AI opportunities across GR0's service lines — from GEO visibility and LLM-optimized link building strategies to AI-automated paid media workflows and creative output modeling.

  • Create agentic workflows that take research to launch to iteration, with evaluation guardrails and client-facing controls.

  • Build functional tools and prototypes using LLM APIs (Claude, OpenAI GPT-o, Gemini) and agentic frameworks (LangChain).

  • Evaluate LLMs and help choose the right models for the right tasks — balancing cost, speed, and accuracy.

  • Get hands-on with RAG, web search integrations, and tool use (CRMs, calendars, and APIs).

  • Experiment with prompt frameworks and agent behaviors for real workflows like email generation, prospect research, and meeting scheduling.

  • Explore emerging modalities — voice AI, multi-modal reasoning, and what makes AI feel more human.

  • Design agent workflows that make smart decisions, self-optimize, and deliver real outcomes.

  • Build safety guardrails, fail-safes, and success metrics into AI systems.

  • Present ideas, experiments, and results to the broader team.

Who You Are:

  • Currently enrolled at a college or university.

  • Passionate about AI, machine learning, automation, or software development.

  • A self-starter who loves to tinker, build, and problem-solve — you define the problem, not just execute tasks.

  • Comfortable with ambiguity and able to thrive in a fast-paced.

  • Able to collaborate across disciplines and communicate clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Experience with Python, APIs, or AI tools is a plus — but hunger to learn matters most.

  • Marketing fluency is a bonus, but what really counts is your ability to translate capability into measurable outcomes and adoption.

What Success Looks Like:

  • A production-grade prototype or internal tool that materially improves speed, quality, or performance in at least one channel (GEO/SEO/paid/creative). “Production-grade” here means: documented, measured, repeatable, and adopted by the team.

  • A clear evaluation story (dashboards, experiments, QA checks) showing what improved and why—reflecting the “real-world impact” and “real-world problem” framing in AI internship language.

  • A portfolio-quality artifact: a technical write-up, internal playbook, open-source demo, or client-facing capability—consistent with the way many AI internships emphasize dissemination, publication, or durable output.

Hiring Process:

  • Stage 1 (Recruiter Screen) - After you submit your application, our talent recruitment team will review and reach out to candidates. During this 30-minute phone call, we’ll discuss your career journey and professional motivators while learning about GR0 overall.
  • Stage 2 (Hiring Manager Interview) - You'll meet with the department lead to discuss your background, explore your experience in more detail, and share why you’re a strong fit for the internship.
  • Stage 3 (Internship Extended) - If a #GR0mance has brewed, we will extend an internship!
