Belay Technologies seeks a DevOps System Engineer to join our intel team. We have an immediate need for a DevOps Engineer to support TTO 212, Unified Engagement Environment (UEE). Efforts will focus on DevOps engineering of an expanding collaboration workflow platform that combines COTS, open-source, and custom microservices. Responsibilities will include installing and configuring complex software; architectural improvements; managing servers, networks, and technology tools; monitoring and maintaining the system for required levels of security, performance, and accreditation; and troubleshooting issues and outages. Candidates will be required to work a rotating pager schedule for emergency 24/7 call-in supports as required (roughly one week out of every 6-8 weeks). Staff may charge 4 additional hours for the week they are on call in addition to hours worked.


Responsibilities will include:

  • Deploying applications; installing and configuring complex software
  • Managing network servers and technology tools
  • Monitoring and maintaining the system for required levels of performance
  • Troubleshooting issues and outages.

Required technical skills include experience with:

  • Linux
  • AWS and Virtualization technology
  • Relational databases (Amazon RDS, PostgreSQL, SQL)
  • Networking, Firewalls, and Load Balancers
  • Terraform scripting and VM provisioning
  • Deployments of distributed web applications
  • Docker, Docker Compose container technology
  • Docker Swarm
  • Public Key Infrastructure

Desired technical skills include experience with:

  • AWS, eVo, VM, and UWE environments
  • Docker Swarm
  • Python scripting and development
  • NiFi maintenance use and configuration
  • Elasticsearch maintenance and configuration
  • Java / Spring Boot (troubleshooting error logs)
  • HAProxy
  • MongoDB
  • Percona (MySQL flavor)
  • Firewalls
  • Agile software development practices
  • Jira and Confluence

Salary Range:
$168,000 to $240,000
