Motorola Solutions' Florida team is searching for an Engineering intern student to join an advanced technology and product design team that is focused on wireless speech communications under a wide range of conditions, for demanding customers.
The position is a hybrid internship role starting May 2026.
Responsibilities may include:
Assist in the development and optimization of machine learning models for deployment on embedded systems.
Work with hardware acceleration technologies (e.g., GPUs, TPUs) to improve model training performance.
Concept prototyping: Take a new AI model or design from concept to initial working model, to assess technical performance and strength of perception.
Contribute to the design and implementation of efficient inference pipelines for different embedded processors.
Collect and analyze data to evaluate model accuracy and performance.
Collaborate with experienced engineers to solve challenging technical problems.
Deploy AI models on Mobile Devices’ processors
Desired Skills and Abilities:
Python and C/C++ programming
Machine Learning and Deep Learning concepts
TensorFlow Lite, Pytorch and ONNX experience
GPU model training experience
Experience deploying TensorFlow Lite and Pytorch models on mobile devices is a plus
Must be positive, open-minded, embraces challenges and can contribute to innovative approaches
Graduate students preferred, but Bachelors students will be considered if they can demonstrate relevant projects or work experience in the field of AI.
Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field.
Must graduate on or after May 2027.
Must be a US Citizen, permanent resident or be an MS student with work authorization (F1 Visa on CPT accepted only for masters-level students).
