Position Overview:
Freddie Mac Enterprise Risk organization is seeking a Gen AI Engineering, Sr. Program Manager to lead the planning, prioritization, and execution of our GenAI initiatives across the organization. This role will drive end-to-end GenAI delivery operating model, from use case intake and value assessment to roadmap execution and executive reporting. You will work at the center of the product, engineering, data, and business teams, ensuring GenAI efforts are aligned with strategic priorities, delivered on tie, and governed responsibly.
Key Responsibilities:
Establish and run GenAI PMO, providing GenAI portfolio leadership and driving operating cadence, governance, and delivery standards
Build and maintain GenAI use case intake and prioritization framework, partnering with the GenAI executive Working Group on prioritization
Own the GenAI portfolio roadmap, balancing quick wins, foundational capabilities, and strategic investments
Track delivery progress, dependencies, risks, and outcomes
Lead and coordinate a cross-functional GenAI delivery team
Set clear goals and milestones and ensure consistent execution using Agile methodologies
Partner with the Executive Working Group to align GenAI efforts with business strategy and investment priorities
Facilitate executive reviews, decision forums, and roadmap approvals
Translate technical GenAI concepts into clear business impact and ROI narratives
Manage expectations and communication with senior leaders and key stakeholders
Monitor value realization and ensure GenAI solutions are delivering measurable outcomes, defining KPIs and value metrics

Your Impact:
As a Gen AI Engineering, Sr. Program Manager, your role is pivotal in shaping the future of AI-driven business solutions. You will have the opportunity to establish GenAI portfolio governance and delivery standards. You will develop GenAI roadmap and work with senior Enterprise Risk executives on alignment of GenAI initiatives to business priorities and strategies. You will work with a talented team of GenAI engineers and data scientists to drive delivery and business impact, setting milestones and ensuring consistency. You will facilitate the GenAI adoption across Enterprise Risk, driving innovation and return on investment.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, IT or a related field. Advanced studies/degree preferred.
10+ year of experience in program management, digital transformation, product leadership, or PMO leadership roles.
2+ years of management experience is a MUST
3+ years working with or leading AI, ML, or GenAI initiatives
8+ years leading cloud-based solutions, leveraging AWS, RESTful APIs, and microservice architectures
Proven experience running Agile cross-functional, executive-visible programs
Strong understanding of GenAI concepts, including LLMs, RAG, and agentic workflows
Experience building prioritization frameworks, roadmaps, and delivery metrics
Knowledge of programming languages, such as Python, Java, JavaScript
Strong knowledge of software development lifecycle
Exceptional communication and executive presence
Experience working in regulated industries
Experience defining value realization and ROI models for AI initiatives

Program Management: Work effectively with Gen AI scientists, UX designers, product managers, and data engineers to build comprehensive Gen AI experiences and deliver results. Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset will be key.

This position has an annualized market-based salary range of $188,000 - $282,000 and is eligible to participate in the annual incentive program. The final salary offered will generally fall within this range and is dependent on various factors including but not limited to the responsibilities of the position, experience, skill set, internal pay equity and other relevant qualifications of the applicant.
