The Senior AI/ML Engineer is a master, professional role responsible for operationalizing and applying developed AI systems. Primary responsibilities involve leveraging AI systems to generate valuable outcomes utilizing underlying models. This role requires a strong technical background and a practical understanding of AI technologies, including applying AI solutions for the benefit of the Church. This position fully participates as a technical leader and influences engineering teams and leads in AI related work.
• Operate and manage complex AI systems, ensuring they are efficiently applied to relevant projects.
• Monitor the performance of AI systems, troubleshooting and performing routine maintenance to ensure optimal functionality.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, development, and product teams, to implement AI solutions effectively.
• Contribute to the creation of team-wide strategies
• Act as a technical lead and mentor less experienced engineers
• Provide expert technical support and guidance on the application of AI systems to stakeholders within the company.
• Keep abreast of the latest AI technologies and industry trends to suggest improvements and updates to existing systems.
• Document technical procedures, system configurations, and application guidelines for internal use.
Required:
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, artificial intelligence, machine learning, or a related field or equivalent experience.
• Eight years of industry-recognized, progressive, and relevant experience.
o Three years of specialized experience in the AI/ML technologies and methodologies
o Prior experience in a leadership role, leading a team (of four or more) through the releases of several (three or more) successful products, at least one of which must be a large-scale enterprise application
• Expert experience in a technical role, preferably with a focus on applying AI or machine learning technologies.
• Strong experience with AI tools and platforms (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch).
• Experience deploying AI/ML models to production.
• Strong understanding of AI and machine learning concepts at a practical level, with the ability to apply these technologies to solve problems.
• Adept problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Preferred:
• Master’s degree in computer science, artificial intelligence, machine learning, or a related field
